India vs Sri Lanka: Hardik Pandya scores maiden Test century

Hardik Pandya smashed his maiden Test century before Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav routed the Sri Lankan middle order, setting India up for a series whitewash on the second day of the third and final match.

From 50 off 61, Pandya raced to 100 off just 86 balls, smashing seven sixes and seven fours along the way. That was 50 off just 25 balls, and it left the Sri Lankans clueless.

At one point, Dinesh Chandimal even had nine men on the fence for Pandya, but the big hits were ceaseless. He even took Malinda Pushpakumara to the cleaners, smashing a record 26 runs in the over.

Pandya has not scored a First-Class hundred and by his own admission doesn't even remember the last time he reached triple figures. But even with a hundred in India colours on the cusp, he put his team first.
